Calling all fishers!
Will you join us on 21 June for lunch at the Ecocentre, St Kilda?
Our lovely partners at the Ecocentre, St Kilda, have arranged a lunchtime get-together (lunch provided) on 21 June from midday ‘til about 3PM. We are looking for an enthusiastic group of people who recognise the inherent value of our Bay’s ecosystems and would like to participate in an important community-led program. Our last workshop was really enjoyable and a great success.
Your lunchtime contribution will be helping to reshape the way our community guides decisions about our Bay. This is a truly ground-breaking, community-owned program, that is giving us all the chance to share knowledge towards the creation of the Bay’s first Community Stewardship Plan.
How do you feel when you go fishing?
There are two videos on this page. The first is with local kayak fisher Paul and captures the essence of what we need to know. Believe it or not, the way you feel about your connection to the Bay, is the missing piece in how we look after it. This information has never been collected and it will lead to creation of one of the most powerful decision tools ever made for the Bay – a tool that will be 100% community owned and enable us to have a real voice.
This is our final sprint to connect our community values with ecosystem features.
We look forward to seeing you there! There is a video introduction and link at the bottom of this page with more information.
