Do you have a favourite nature spot? Or are you simply wanting to understand how Port Phillip Bay can truly be protected? If so, make sure you put aside the time to attend and come and meet the team behind this outstanding community-led initiative at the Sandy Eco Expo this weekend.

Dr Edmunds is one of our most experienced bay ecologists having pioneered much of the long-term monitoring, habitat mapping, and ecological condition assessments of Port Phillip Bay in the last 30 years.

Presentation from 2PM on Saturday

If you don’t have time to stay until 2, you can talk to Matt any time during the Exp.

From 2PM, Dr Edmunds will be on the main stage, revealing how your knowledge is about to redefine the way decisions are made to protect your bay. You will discover how community values connect to specific places and habitats you love, and how these are shared across the whole of your community. During this interactive gathering, we will be manipulating parts of the ecosystem to see how things change for you; and discovering how this immensely powerful tool (built on your knowledge) can show you where and how to act for the greatest win-wins across society and nature. This is sure to inspire anyone with an interest in the bay.
