Webinar: how we save threatened species (today, 9 Sep @4PM)

Hi there,

It’s been a while since we’ve been in touch. The integration of all the data is taking a bit longer than we anticipated … but it’s better we get this looking right before we present it to you. I hope you don’t mind if we take a bit longer.

Meanwhile, I thought you might be interested in attending a Webinar today put together by our partner Anissa Lawrence of the OceanEarth Foundation. Four of us will be speaking and I’ll be taking about your wonderful work for Restore the Bay.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how species-focused initiatives are being reimagined as powerful catalysts for transformation, projects that look upstream, connect across sectors, and drive deeper impact for ecosystems, communities, and future generations.

You’ll hear from a diverse panel of conservation practitioners, each bringing a unique perspective on how they’ve approached threatened species conservation differently: integrating social, cultural, ecological, and economic systems to deliver more durable outcomes.

Panelists:

- Simon Mustoe - Wildiaries and author of “ How to Survive the Next 100 years”

- Marc Oremus - ShellBank Project, WWF France

- Tia Bool - Project Restore, Sydney Institute of Marine Science

- Matt Singleton - CEO, Odonata Foundation

Following the presentations, our panelists will come together for a moderated discussion, exploring the big questions:

  • How do we move beyond symptom management?

  • What does truly transformational conservation look like?

  • And how can we design projects that create impact long after the funding ends?

We’ll then open the floor to your questions, so bring your curiosity, your challenges, and your appetite for a better way forward.
